Stuart's Take

Another rare doll that was originally obtained by Rosalie at a Theriault auction held in the 1980's. As testament to its rarity we have never seen or encountered another since that time. It's no secret that Rosalie had a passion for dolls from Simon and Halbig, finding their range of production of so many different models as a lifetime pursuit. This particular character remained one of her favorites throughout her lifetime, both in the museum and at home after the closing, where she displayed it in a special vignette that held some of her most beloved dolls from the collection.
