Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, small blue painted eyes in deeply-set sockets, laughter lines around the eyes and cheeks, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in smiling expression, hint of painted teeth, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing antique folklore costume of Czechoslovakia with rich embroidery. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B.P. 1 (incised) S&C Germany (stamp). Comments: Swaine, circa 1912. Value Points: the shy smile is enhanced by sculpted laughter crinkles on the seldom found model.
