Solid domed bisque shoulderhead with rich dark brown complexion, black sculpted hair in short curls, intaglio brown painted side-glancing eyes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with smiling expression, original brown muslin body with jointing at shoulders and hips of bent legs, brown composition hands, antique romper suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst mark) Germany 7658. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: rare brown-complexioned character with superb sculpting of hair and features, wearing antique costume including linen apron with stenciled design for embroidery.
