7" (18 cm.) One-piece wooden head and shapely torso, oval-shaped face, elongated throat, painted outlined black eyes in slightly side-glancing expression, tiny dot brows, thin line tiny mouth, blush spots, brunette wig with soft curls, cloth upper arms, wooden lower arms with individually-carved fork-shaped fingers, dowel-jointing at hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, late 1700s. Value Points: seldom-found miniature wooden doll is wearing early (possibly original) costume of various silks and muslin, silk stockings, bustle petticoat (curiously being worn on outside of skirt), wonderful cream kidskin shoes with curled toes, woven bonnet and matching stomacher, and has fine original finish.
