23" (58 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rich mauve blushed eyeshadow, arched feathered brows, shaded nostrils of elegantly-shaped nose, closed mouth, outlined shaded lips, impressed philtrum, blushed cheeks, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing, nicely costumed in patterned cotton garden dress with lace edging at collar, undergarments, bonnet, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, the portrait model was introduced about 1873 and was considered the luxury model of the poupee line. Value Points: gorgeous poupee with most artistic painting of complexion and features such as mauve eyeshadow.
