Description
To fit 17" Huret poupee. Of woven silk twill in a rich plaid pattern, the rounded neck dress features unusual gathered sleeves with ruffled edging, bretelles on the fitted bodice, full skirt with tiny gathers at the front and box pleats at the back, and is accented with blue cording along the edges of neckline, sleeves, bretelles and forming C-curved vertical bands on skirt. The gown is signed "Huret a Paris" on inside waist band. Excellent condition, a few tiny fine repairs on skirt fabric. French, Huret, circa 1860.
