Description
23" (58 cm.) Pink-tinted poured wax shoulderhead turned slightly to the right, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, darker blue outer irises, heavy eyelids, closed mouth with solemn expression, delicately-inserted blonde mohair curls, softly-stuffed cloth body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, poured wax lower limbs, bare feet. Condition: very good, early retouch at left cheek and left leg. Comments: English, attributed to Montanari, circa 1875. Value Points: very beautiful face, the doll is wearing her original aqua green dress and undergarments.
