Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, defined space between the outlined lips, impressed dimples at chin and philtrum, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R. 2 D. Comments: Rabery and Delphieu, circa 1885. Value Points: especially beautiful example of this model has flawless bisque, original body and body finish, and is wearing original exquisite costume with original label from the legendary Parisian shop of Au Nain Bleu.
