Each has bisque socket head, blue glass eyes, mohair upper lashes, painted lower lashes, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, woman on lady-shaped composition and wooden fully-jointed body, man on classic composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1159 Germany S&H 10 (heads) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'honneur (bodies). Comments: Jumeau/SFBJ with original heads commissioned from Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: the handsome pair are each wearing original costumes, the gentleman in plaid woolen three-piece suit with shirt, tie, fleur-de-lis tie pin, watch and fob, and hat; the woman in silk and velvet ensemble with matching lavish hat, and each with original fitted kid gloves.
