11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though open, two beaded lower teeth, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8459 Heubach (in square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: charming size of the glass-eyed character, wearing original folklore costume of Hesse region including coiffe with embroidered detail.
