Description
22" (56 cm.) Each has poured wax shoulderhead depicting a plump-faced young child, blue glass inset eyes, tinted facial features, closed mouth, mohair wig, softly-stuffed muslin body, poured wax lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent, repair to left foot and neck on one. Comments: England, attributed to Montanari, circa 1880. Value Points: the pair are wearing matching costumes with well-detailed embroidery and lace, bonnets, undergarments.
