Description
14" (36 cm.) Each has bisque socket head, small blue glass inset eyes, painted brown eyeliner, lashes, and brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth in slight smiling expression, row of porcelain teeth, impressed dimples at lip corners and philtrum, he with solid dome and flocked hair, she with cut pate and auburn mohair wig, each with five-piece paper mache body. Condition: bisque excellent, some wear to flocking on hair of boy, bodies original albeit paint wear. Marks: 237 Paris 4 (boy) SFBJ 238 Paris 4 (girl). Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: their cheerful well-rendered expressions are complemented by original Scout uniforms of glazed brown twill, white collars, belts, satchels, shoes and with original silver badges, each with original labeled box.
