Description
23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, outlined lips, pierced ears, ash blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed lady-shaped body with modeled bosom and tiny waist. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S&H 1159 Dep 9 1/2. Comments: circa 1900, Jumeau/SFBJ with original Simon and Halbig head. Value Points: wearing original lavish ivory satin wedding gown with lace trim, extended train, veil, and accessories, the doll is preserved in her original elaborately accented wedding box from Grand Magasin in France.
