Description

18" (46 cm.) l. 14" head circ. Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck, slightly-modeled brown painted baby hair, painted narrow blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, muslin body with stitch-jointing at hips, composition hands, nicely costumed in baby dress, pique coat and bonnet with crocheted borders, woven booties. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: copr. by Grace. S. Putnam Germany 1415/48. Comments: Germany, circa 1920s, from original designs by the artist Grace S. Putnam, the doll appears a slightly older model of the infant Bye-Lo. Value Points: very rare model, with distinctive painted eyes and smiling expression.
