20" (51 cm.) Felt doll with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, dark eye shadow, long painted lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth with heart-shaped lips, simple stitch-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Brazilian cloth doll artist, Joao Perotti, late 1930s. Value Points: the doll is beautifully-preserved with vibrant multi-colored costume and coiffe of appliqued felt, wooden bead necklace, and holding a hand-painted wooden mandolin.
