Description
Of fine white cotton with interwoven dots, the one-piece fitted dress features a V-shaped neckline edged with handmade rick-rack, coat style sleeves with rick-rack at cuffs, and eight buttons and handmade button holes closing the dress front; the back features dart-shaping above the fitted waist and narrow pleats at the waist extending into demi-train. The dress is stamped "Huret a Paris" on the inside waist band. Excellent condition. French, Adelaide Huret, circa 1865.
