Description
12" (30 cm.) Attached at both ends of a torso are bisque heads, designed so that the skirt of each doll can cover the head of the alternate doll, and then be reversed. One is bisque socket head with amber-brown complexion, brown glass eyes, closed mouth with defined space between the lips, black fleecy wig, amber composition upper torso and arms, antique costume, marked 120; the other is bisque shoulderhead with blue glass spiral threaded eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Sonneberg, circa 1890. Value Points: rarely found models on this early example of the novelty topsy-turvy.
