Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, open mouth, accented lips, two porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in lace-trimmed white cotton dress, undergarments, socks and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, hands retouched. Marks: S&H 1299 9. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: rarer model with exemplary bisque and painting. The doll is featured in the book, The Rose Unfolds, by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick.
