Description
7" (18 cm.) man. Each is all wooden with one-piece head and torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and with painted facial features and hair, including man with well-detailed feathering of hair around the forehead, and wearing a brown velvet suit with long jacket and knickers; woman with sculpted tuck comb and beautifully-shaded detail of hair around her daintily-painted facial features, fine original costume (apron frail); baby held by woman; and child with sculpted chignon. Condition: very good/excellent, some few small paint wears, but all original finish and costumes. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: charming family group with early costumes.
