Description
22" (56 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with strong elongated throat, sculpted black hair with wide poufs at each side drawn into a rolled braid-edged curl at the nape, painted large blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown ankle boots, antique silk gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: fine original finish enhances the wide-eyed expression, rare coiffure, original body.
