14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cloth body with stitch-jointing, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890, attributed to Simon and Halbig. Value Points: the closed mouth child is wearing her original well-detailed folklore costume including laced vest and silver buckled shoes, and owns an additional hooded cape with paper mache mask face of friendly-faced Halloween witch.
