11" (28 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, brown glass inset eyes, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, plump cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, composition lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1885. Value Points: the closed mouth child is wearing traditional costume of Friesland, Holland, including unusual coiffe with lace having flared shoulder drape under brass helmet cap.
