20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with brown complexion, deeply sculpted facial features portraying a child with beaming smile, brown glass inset eyes, black eyeliner, painted lashes, black brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with slightly parted lips, row of porcelain teeth, dimpled double chin, pierced ears, black mohair wig, brown composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, early body retouch. Marks: S 12 H Dep 969. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: very rare model with most distinctive smiling expression enhanced by flawless complexion, lovely antique costume.
