Description
25" (64 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head with sculpted short brown hair covered by felt cloche hat with unusual pleated accent, painted facial features, blue painted eyes, closed mouth with pensive expression, padded armature body, posable arms, posed on original wooden stand labeled with her name and 1929. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Eva Le Gallienne, purchased by J.H. Hoffheimer, 1937 Traphagen School (original cloth label on costume). Comments: designed by Lilli Baitz, portraying Eva Le Gallienne (1899-1991), the British-born American stage actress, producer and directer. Value Points: wearing brown tweed coat over matching belted drop waist dress with pleats at front skirt, painted gloves, matching one- strap shoes. With original labeled leather travel case.
