Each has bisque shoulderhead with painted facial features, intaglio blue eyes, twill torso and upper limbs with disc-jointing, composition lower arms and legs, including girl with closed mouth and sad expression, and boy with painted hair and laughing expression. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst) 7848 (girl). Heubach (sunburst) 6736 (boy). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: the pair are wearing matching costumes with amusing designs, original shoes and socks, the girl with unusual medallion coiffe, and the boy with leather belt, holster and knife in shield, and with additional paper mache face mask; the pair are presented in woven basket tray.
