Description
25" (64 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head, sculpted light brown hair with marcel wave, painted facial features, brown painted eyes, closed mouth with wistful expression, padded armature body, posable arms, posed on original wooden stand labeled with her name and 1927. Condition: generally excellent, dress frail. Marks: Ina Claire, purchased by J.H. Hoffheimer, 1937 Traphagen School (original cloth label on costume). Comments: designed by Lilli Baitz, portraying Ina Claire (1893-1985), actress of stage, and silent and talking film from 1915-1943.Value Points: wearing dark wine silk crepe dress with dropped waist, bow accent and soutache trim, silk stockings, black patent leather shoes with unusual straps. With original labeled leather travel case.
