22" (56 cm.) Solid domed gutta percha swivel head on matching shoulderplate with original creamy complexion, painted facial features, blue eyes in defined eye sockets, upper eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth with defined space and suggestion of teeth between outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms with gusset jointing at elbows, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Registered Trademark Remo Enamel Pat's April 2nd 1867/Feb 17/1875.(front shoulderplate). Comments: American, circa 1875. Value Points: very rare patented American doll with pristine original finish. Ex-collection Doris Hupp.
