7 1/2" (19 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, black painted hair, painted facial features, tiny blue eyes, single stroke brows, closed mouth, all-wooden fully-articulated body with jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1850, with original paper label "Dutch" indicating the costume theme. Value Points: the doll is wearing heavy blue twill skirt over multiple petticoats, apron, brown patterned jacket with lace edging and woven bonnet. Ex-Maureen Popp Collection.
