Description
26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, fringe-painted upper lashes, one-stroke angled brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1428 14. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1912. Value Points: the large size of the captivating character features outstanding detail of modeling, especially laughter crinkles around the eyes and mouth, impressed dimples, finest bisque and complexion with gleaming patina, original body and body finish.
