Description
25" (64 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head with sculpted dark brown casually arranged short curls, painted facial features, brown painted eyes glancing to the side, closed mouth appearing as though open with painted teeth, padded armature body, posable arms, posed on original wooden stand labeled with her name and 1910. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mary Mannering, purchased by J.H. Hoffheimer, 1937 Traphagen School (original cloth label on costume). Comments: designed by Lilli Baitz, portraying Mary Mannering (1876-1953), the English born actress of American stage. Value Points: wearing slender coral silk gown with soutache trim and point d'esprit jabot, grosgrain sash. With original labeled leather travel case.
