7" (18 cm.) h. 9"w. x 6"d. The wooden blanket chest has original all-around painted finish with sunflower motif on sienna background, and excellent detail of apron carving and framed top, with cast iron key hole. The lid hinges open to reveal shallow interior floor; the two front side panels can be lifted to reveal a hidden compartment and a hidden drawer below the floor. Excellent condition. Swiss, late 1700s, the rare and intriguing miniature chest is wonderfully preserved.
