Paper mache shoulderhead of young lad, plump cheeks, black sculpted hair in side-parted fashion with curls at sides of face, black glass enamel inset eyes, outlined eyes with painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms. Condition: generally excellent, some repairs on arms, typical age rubs on original facial finish. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: the handsome lad with hard-to-find side-parted hair is wearing antique black velvet suit with white silk vest, silk bow tie, stockings, leather shoes and has watch and chain.
