Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged hips, wooden lower legs with jointing at knees, kid over wooden upper arms, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 7 (head and shoulderplate) (Bebe Bru label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1885. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved doll with sturdy body, perfect bisque hands, lovely bisque, and wearing original ceremonial silk costume lavishly embellished with embroidered symbols, and matching cap.
