Value Points: very beautiful painting of eyes, with fine bisque and delicate complexion, original body, the poupee is wearing very fine brown velvet gown with black beading, undergarments, bonnet, black ankle boots, and is presented with her original labeled trunk (42 Galerie Monpensier at the Palais-Royal in Paris) along with a very extensive trousseau of gowns, undergarments, bonnets, shoes, purses, and more. Ex-Bodmer collection. The doll is featured in the book, The Rose Unfolds, by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick, page 90.

Stuart's Take

Over the past few years I have touted the idea that Rohmer offers in many cases a near identical but more approachable collecting focus in comparison to Huret. While I respect Huret, the dolls, and of course the bevy of amazing accessories made for them, Rohmer as well presents similar. And often at a much lesser price.
