Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with brown complexion, brown glass inset eyes, black painted lashes, black brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral shaded lips, pierced ears, black mohair wig, brown composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7. Comments: Kestner, circa 1882, the model closely resembles the French bebe A.T. by Thuillier. Value Points: sought-after rare model especially with lovely and flawless brown complexion. The doll is shown in the book, The Rose Unfolds, by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick, page 163.
