Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of lady, sculpted brown hair with arranged poufs of curls at sides and back of head and clusters of tiny curls at each side of forehead, with decorative pink hair bow, sculpted pierced ears, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, sculpted decoration of shoulderplate includes Dresden ruffles and gilt-edged beading, with painted blue edging, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, nicely costumed in silk gown. Condition: generally excellent, imperceptible professional decoration at back shoulderplate. Comments: Germany, attributed to C.F. Kling, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include brown hair, pierced ears, and very fancily decorated bodice.
