Paper mache shoulderhead with plump face, black sculpted head in center part arranged with swirling curls around the edges of face and sculpted short curls at back of head, painted facial features, outlined blue eyes, arched tinted brows, closed mouth with hint of smile, blushed cheeks, muslin body, paper mache lower arms and hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1865. Value Points: exceptional detail of painted hair, well-outlined eyes, wearing antique black woolen tuxedo with white formal shirt, silk twill vest, black bow-tie, black leather shoes, along with oversized pocket watch.
