Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, sculpted tousled curly brown hair beneath a sculpted brimmed feathered hat, sculpted ears, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 X (script) 5. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: rarity factors include glass eyes, wonderful detail of sculpted hair with enhancing glaze, and rare sculpted purple hat with black brim, magenta gilt banding and large blue feather.
