Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with sculpted blonde hair in tousled curls held by black band at crown and little bow at nape, painted facial features, blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, cloth body, bisque lower limbs, painted shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: included is her original wardrobe of five hand-knit dainty dresses and matching hats. The doll is featured in the book, The Rose Unfolds, by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick, page 35, with the comment "for such a small size, she has great presence".
