Solid domed carton moule head and torso with oval face, very strong elongated throat, modeled bosom, shapely waist, wooden legs with jointing at mid-thigh and knees, wooden lower arms with separated fingers on scoop-shaped hands, painted brown eyes in defined shape of eye sockets, black upper eyeliner, painted lashes, one-stroke curvy brows, accented eye corners, aquiline-shaped nose, closed mouth with center accent line, blushed cheeks, beauty marks on cheeks, brunette human hair early hand-tied wig. Condition: very fine early restoration of finish. Comments: French, mid-18th century. Value Points: the grand size and regal presence indicate luxury commissioned creation, wearing very fine silk gown with woven and embroidered details, lace ruffled sleeves, quilted petticoat, fitted slippers.
