Description
16" (41 cm.) The wooden-framed chaise a porteur (sedan chair) has bombe-shaped sides and hinged front door, fitted with three beveled glass windows, and covered with green velvet with embroidered yellow and rose flowers and vines; the interior fitted with aqua silk tufted seat and pink silk wallpaper. Included (not shown) are original wooden carrying poles with green velvet cover. Excellent condition. French, circa 1880, most unusual and original design is wonderfully preserved.
