Stuart's Take
Rosalie loved dolls with wardrobes. It was to her the culmination of presenting dolls in all form. That is face, function and fashion. This is a wonderful example of a piece that exemplified the museum and gave it world class standing. It opened the world to see beyond just a doll but what it meant within the layers of the function it served.
