24" (61 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead of adult lady with slender face and elongated throat, midnight-brown painted hair with feathering details around the forehead, her hair waved back into a braid-encircled chignon at the back and with a single large flower and one small flower with leaves behind each ear, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with row of tiny painted teeth, cloth stitch-jointed body, kid arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850, the model known as Morning Glory Lady was created by several firms during the mid-19th century. Value Points: rare variation of the beloved model, this example having unusual painted teeth.
