17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with plump facial modeled, cobalt blue glass eyes which open and close from pull-metal attachment in torso, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, brunette human hair over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, bisque arms to above the elbows. Condition: chip at upper rim of right eye, five broken fingers. Condition: Blampoix, the distinctive sleeping mechanism was deposed in 1857. Value Points: very rare early sleeping eye system.
