Description
To fit 16" poupee. Of waffle-weave white pique, the ensemble comprises a dress with fitted bodice, rounded neckline with scallop-edged braid, box-pleated sleeves with upturned cuffs, and box-pleated skirt, with pearl button closure at the back; along with a matching flared hip-length cape with double collar, and with a scallop-edged waffle weave petticoat and white cotton petticoat. The dress and cap with richly soutache-embroidery. Excellent condition. French, the style, fit and superb workmanship are indicative of Maison Huret, circa 1860.
