18" (46 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with plump face, cobalt blue enamel eyes, dark eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely waist, gusset-jointing at hips, kid-over-wooden jointing at knees, porcelain arms to above the elbows, separately-sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent, body especially sturdy. Comments: French, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful gleaming complexion with subtle blushing, cobalt eyes, rare original body, antique costume included; the doll has (partly legible) boutique label on front chest indicating address at 70 rue Richelieu in Paris.
