25" (64 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead with very plump face, brown glass sleep eyes, tinted details of facial features, closed mouth with downcast lips, brunette mohair wig over original (very sparse) inserted hair, softly-stuffed cloth body, poured wax arms and legs. Condition: good, some fading of facial features, small missing wax (hidden) at upper left arm, cloth body dusty. Comments: English, circa 1880. Value Points: gentle expression, rare brown eyes for this style of doll, and wearing very beautiful antique costume and gown that is likely original.
