Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, inserted brows, painted lower lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, impressed dimples, brunette mohair wig with side-coiled braids over original plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 189 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved rare doll with original wig, pate, body and body finish, original costume, rare brows, and very fine bisque and painting.
