Description
18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown hair in short boyish style, blue glass inset eyes, painted curly lashes, one-stroke brows, open mouth with shaded lips, row of porcelain teeth, impressed dimples, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique costume comprises woolen jacket, pants, socks, shoes, and uniform cap. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 227 Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value points: especially fine modeling of laughter crinkles around the eyes and impressed dimples around the mouth, fine quality of bisque.
