15" (38 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with light grey sculpted hair in arranged rolled bun framing her face, drawn back into a dramatic loop at the back of head held by a painted black barrette, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, modeled coral necklace, modeled yellow three-dangle earrings, firmly-shaped cloth body, wooden lower arms, wearing early purple velvet gown with rose silk center panel, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: mid-1800s. Value Points: rare doll with unusual arrangement of coiffure, rare hair color and jewelry.
